How does the circulatory system (humans) work?
Okay I am in grade 9 and i am doing a project on the circulatory system. I have the basic info but i want something more but i cant find anything…. any help would be appreciated but nothing I wouldnt understand…. dont forget i am only in grade 9!

Try explaining the mechanisms of the heart. i.e. The s node, the av node, the bundle of his, the valves of the heart and when they are open and when they are not. You could also explain about how the blood leaves through the ascending aorta rich with oxygen, but hen by the time it travels through the arteries, arteriols, capillaries, venules, and then veins, and returns to the heart via the super vena cava it is in need of being replenished with O2. You could also explain that ones blood pressure differs at different times of the day, whether you are male or female, your age, and genetics. Good luck!

That’s a pretty broad question. I’m sure you understand the basics, but you may want to read up on some of the new discoveries in heart disease, in particular new findings in plaque build up, resulting in hitherto unknown causes of systemic failure leading to strokes and heart attack.
Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. That’s a big topic.
