At just 15 weeks you should not yet be weaning your baby - it’s way too early. The constipation is due to an immature gut.
If she has a distended abdomen and not passing wind she has an intestinal blockage and needs urgent medical attention!
There are no complications really from bub having 1 microlax enema. The reason she is constipated is probably the transition to formula which isn’t as easily digested as breast milk. Eventually her body will get used to it.If your daughter is not passing wind, I would take her the the Dr immediately as it can be a bowel obstruction.
When my son was very young about 3 weeks I think he was constipated very badly and what worked for us was dark Karo syrup, just put about a teaspoon in a bottle with about 2-4 ounces of warm water let it dissolve and give it to her, I dont know what the problem is though sorry
In all honesty, I would call or visit the doctor. But with my little one I just give her water it helps a lot. If your baby doesn’t want to drink it, just add a little juice. I use the Gerber juice about 1/2 oz. to 4oz. water. I give my little one the water first at every feeding. It might still be hard for you baby to get the first push but after words it should be an easier process. If there is or has been any blood in her diaper taker to the doctor fast. That might be more complications to her insides.
my little girl’s dr told me to give my 5 month old 2 ounces of water and 2 ounces of pear juice when she is constipated and it works everytime.
