My toddler has a rash on his tummy & diarrhea. He did have a fever yesterday too. Is the rash from the fever?
He had a fever of 100-102 degrees for several days this week. He no longer has the fever but now has a rash just on his tummy and loose stools

my son tends to get like a heat rash when he gets hot or if he is a bit poorly. i only leave him 24hrs before seeing the doc or nurse though just to make sure its nothing more serious
if you are worried call nhs direct or your doctor ( out of hrs )
you can never be to careful when it comes to kids
remember lots of fluids and some paracetamol to help bring his temp down hopefully he has this virus thats been hitting kids hard ( half my sons school went down with it!! ) and will be better in a few days x x
good luck hope hes better for xmas all my little ones have flu
Yes, toddlers can get rashes from fevers, like a "heat rash". My little brother ALWAYS got them when he was a baby whenever he had fevers, and they were always on his belly. Keep some baby powder on it and put him on some loose fitting clothes, and it should go away asap!! Good luck!
The rash is indicative of an infection, it is probably responsible for all the symptoms. If you are concerned that your child is still unwell seek medical advice!
I don’t think you can get rashes from a fever - you don’t get rashes with the flu!
Try checking on NHS direct and make sure he’s getting plenty of fluids and salts: it’s more dangerous for toddlers to get dehydrated.

If in doubt call the doctor.
it could be a heat rash his way of dealing with the temp
as long as hes taking fluids and you as his mother thinks hes fine just keep an eye on his but as a mother i would call them out just on the safe side illnesses can spread fast esspecialy in a toddler
hope he/shes better soon
I would encourage you to talk to a medical professional (pediatrician) or even a pharmacist before using Yahoo ANSWERS. This forum is for opinions, but when your child’s life is in danger I would suggest a professional opinion. There are just too many illnesses going around that can threaten a child’s life. I wouldn’t chance it.
I hope you get answers and that He feels better soon.
I would take him to see a doctor asap. Could be anything. Don’t risk it.
Press the side of a clear drinking glass onto one of the spots. If the spot disappears OK if the spot does not disappear get to a hosptal or Dr. In fact a high temperature in any child should send you to a DR.
It could be scarlet fever, well something close to it, it could be strep that shows up on his skin instead of his throut.
I had strep (scarlet fever they called it back then) on my skin, it was little red bumps, looked like a rash on my skin it started on the back of my neck then spread everywhere else.
Or it could be an alergy, are you rubbing lotion on him? maybe he has a bad alergy to it. Call the docs.
It could be a viral skin rash.
