My group is for people with Digestive Diseases who would like a forum for support and information. How can I locate people whose profile would match my group? Is there a place here at Yahoo where I can list things such as Crohn’s Disease, ( GERD, IBD, IBS, Gastroparesis, Celiac Disease etc.) and receive a list of people whose profile includes Crohn’s Disease (or GERD, IBD, IBS etc.)?

i’m in the process of being diagnosed with possibley crohn’s disease but i could still have IBS instead and i was wondering does these to illness affect the way the pill works, someone told me because diahorrea is involve in both of these that the pill has less chances of working is this true

I had a colonoscopy which looked in the colon and the dr said it rules out Crohn’s disease, now a medical student has told me that i could still have Crohn’s because it could be in the small bowel which the colonoscopy didn’t look at. Is that true? Has Crohn’s disease been 100% ruled out?

I guess I’m just looking for support and comfort…I’m kind of in the middle of this nightmare-ish situation right now and I want to know if anyone else here has been through this before…so basically for a year now i’ve been reaaaally sick…my digestive system just really doesn’t work (SEVERE constipation). I was 135 pounds and now im 93 pounds…i’m currently going through all of this testing to see why my digestive system won’t work (and why i’ve developed all these food sensitivities) and basically all they’ve found is Crohn’s disease in my blood work but NOT in the colonoscopy (so they can’t diagnose or treat me for that) and a blockage in my stomach that they call "SMA". But they can’t find what’s wrong with my intestines. I’ve had a barium X ray, Colonoscopy, endoscopy, ultra sound…and tomorrow I’m doing a capsule endoscopy.

Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone else been through this? Does anyone here have digestive issues? How did they diagnose you, your symptoms?

Can anybody advise how far the ‘medical geniuses’ have got in finding a cure for Crohn’s Disease? I mean…30 years that a loved one has had this complaint and still…’cause unknown; no cure’s i simply is not good enough. What are these ‘experts’ doing?

My friend has Crohn’s disease, it has evolved rapidly. He now has ulcers in his mouth, severe bloody diarrhea, extreme abdominal pain and there are many ulcers in his colon along with an extremely inflamed small intestine.

The doctors said they will have to remove his colon and have a colostomy bag. He is only 29 and feels this will ruin his life and has refused to have it removed.

My question is, if he doesn’t have his colon removed what will happen? Will the pain just carry on or will something even more serious happen?

Hiya, my partner has been suffering from Crohn’s disease for about 5 years and he has recently had a bad attack. As he is still feeling quite sore he has been drinking complan for the last few days which he seems to be ok with.
Does anyone know if there are any long term effects from using complan whilst suffering from Crohn’s disease?

My son has had trouble going to the loo for a poo since he was potty training and has always suffered with constipation although he does not get stomachache and just seems to have a really slow bowel. I give him lots of fresh fruit and fibre. My husband is a chef and I have Crohn’s disease so we have a healthy diet. I have been told Flax seed is good - has anyone else tried this or can you recommend anything else I could try??

I am suffering from Crohn’s disease and I am taking the medicine of crohn’s disease. Can I eat everything of food such as meet, fish, mango fruit, etc? My age is 24? This disease is curable or treatable? How many years will I alive in this world?
