I see alot of those colon cleanse systems at the vitamin store and was wondering which is the best and most effective. Is it a good idea to use a colon cleanse before I start a diet? What are the benefits?

I just want to know about the best tips/ways to get a flat stomach and loose some weight. I’ve been trying for a really long time. I’m 5′2 and 123 pounds. I want to be 110 and my doctor says it will benefit in my sport as well. Is there a good healthy small diet I can go on and a certain exercise that will help me with this? What can I do?
Please help. D: I feel disgusting and I really want to lose this weight. I’ve tried almost everything for motivation but I just end up overeating and not sticking to my diet. My big problem is motivation. >.< I’m on my last nerve.

D: any tips at all?

Heard wonderful things about colon cleansing… I bought one of the better ones, did not change my diet but followed direction EXACTLY, and now ive put on close to eight pounds. any suggestions to what i might be doing wrong?

Consequently there is usually blood mixed in with her stools and she gets very upset when she goes, which is about once a day and is sometimes runny or mucusy. She complains her tummy hurts each day. She has a good diet with fresh fruit and veg and not much processed or sugary stuff. The Dr just tells me to monitor what she eats. Can anyone tell me anything more?

…I run quite frequently on a treadmill or outside, and would class myself as having an above average fitness level.
When I run, after about 5 minutes I get acid reflux (or GERD), which causes a mild burning sensation in my chest, it doesn’t really go away until I finish running.

It’s a mild pain, but it is still a pain nonetheless, something I can cope with, but I don’t want to.

So does anybody else have this? If so can they recommend things to cut out of my diet? Or a cure to take while running?
NB: I do not exercise too soon after eating, sometimes this happens in the morning, before I have eaten or drunk anything, as I find I exercise better on an empty stomach.

I also have an allergy to wheat. This has been taken out of my diet and still having spams.I take peppermint oil everyday also

Metamucil seems a little more safe then taking pills and it is all about adding fiber to the diet. So I am thinking Metamucil would be a good way to cleanse, versus buying the pills.

I’ve recently drastically changed my diet, for the better. Instead of red meat, fried food, coffee, alcohol etc. I’m now drinking veggie juice, herbal teas, rice milk and eating more veg and fruit. Chicken, fish, pulses and grains, buckwheat, millet, etc.
This diarrhea has gone on for weeks now, and weird colour…(sorry!) sort of greenish. Any clues? Immodium didnt work.
Thanks, guys.

I want 2 diet so I am lookn 4 a colon cleanse such as Bromalite Colon Cleanse n sum thing 2 fight fat such as Acaiberry Detox

i’ve had acid reflux for a while now and it didn’t bother me that much when i was a bit lighter so i want to lose some weight.

i am taking protium 40 mg AND i am exercising near enough every day while watching my diet so do you think if i lose a bit of weight my acid reflux won’t bother me so much?

perhaps a doctor could answer this question or health practioner. Thanks!

I’m on a full time diet I go to gym to work out and I eat everthing whats low in fat for diet people and I drink alot of water, I have lost 5 pounds in weight but I still keep getting heartburn why is this

I have it and just want to know whats the best way to cope with it? Do you get panicky sometimes when you’re out and there are no public toilets nearby? Or when you’re travelling? Incase you cant control your bowels. It makes me aggitated even though I monitor my diet carefully. Whats the best way to cope with it?

I have really bad problems going to the toilet when I do it’s extremely small amounts, and it feels like I need to go like once a day but in fact I really don’t, is this due to a lack of fibre in my diet or is it a woman problem?

Is there a way to detoxify your digestive system without using "diet juices" they have on the market? If so how?

I have quite severe IBS and this causes agrophobia, anxiety and panic attacks. I have tried altering my diet and using medication but none of them have much effect. This condition is ruining my life and making me very depressed.
I would like to try acupuncture but am abit scared and nervous. Does anyone know if acupuncture is an effective treatment for IBS and is it worth taking the chance?
Thanks for your responses,
I’ve had a food allergy test and do not eat gluten or wheat anymore, I’ve had councilling but this didn’t help as i’m a very open person and talk to anyone anyway!
I might try the reflexology if i can get out the house!! you have to laugh or you’ll cry : )

My kid hasnt been for 2 weeks and nothing works - any help would be gratefully received. Dont really wanna go to docs or hospital cos nothing theyve ever given us has worked.
Happens all time shes always either one way or the other if you know what I mean! If there is a bug going round she gets and a 24 hr tummy bug lasts her a whole week - she gets lots of pain all time but docs reckon her tummy is soft (it aint at the moment) and just tells us to go away
She has a good diet, wont drink water but loves icepops which I make from water myself. Loves veggies and fruit. Tried lactalose n senna etc to no affect. Someone told me to try kinesiology but cant remember if u rub up or down the legs?

Have been diagnosed for three years, and always seem to relaspe just as things seem to be getting better. Currently flared-up. Diet mainly consists of white meat, fish, potatoes, carrot and swede. Cannot tolerate green veg or salad veg, cheese, tomatoes, onion. I don’t eat rice, noodles, chilli or curry, and the only hot foodstuff I have is a very small amount of brown pepper on chicken. How do people whose diet is mainly a spicey one, ie Asian/Indian, cope with Colitis?

Can anyone inform me to what would be a good diet to stick to or more importantly what definately to avoid when suffering from IBS.

My daughter has had diarrhea for two days now. We don’t live near a doctor so I can’t take her to a doctor unless I really had to. There has been no vomit and she eats a fantastic diet. We have just came back from the north of Scotland where we went for our summer. She diid not eat a lot of fruit there so it might be that. Can anyone help?

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last year. I want to know if anyone has suggestions or advice for dealing with relapses.

Doctors often say that diet has little to do with the disease and does not affect remission and relapse, but I find this hard to believe.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I have been diagnosed with IBS today, but I don’t really know what it means! Of course I understand the medical side, but I don’t really understand how it is going to affect my life if at all.

I have always been incredibly regular, but this changed after visiting Cambodia (3 months ago). My doctor has checked for parasites etc and has made the diagnosis of IBS. He thinks the travellers diahorea I experienced on holiday has brought to light my IBS. My boyfriend is really pleased that I don’t have parasites. He said having parasites would be serious but that IBS isn’t.

I am really confused though! I am currently living in Japan and have a doctor who doesn’t know me.The information I have on the internet says I should change my diet. However, one website says eat insoluble fibre but another say eat soluble fibre! All I know is that I have lost weight, feel tired and am spotty.

I have found the IBS Network but instead of making me feel better I now want to cry!

Please help!

I’ve had IBS for three years now & it has dramatically changed my life as you can imagine in the one of the most negative ways. I’ve gone to the doctor constantly & have been trying all these laxatives fibers diet exercises counseling yet nothing seems to help. any advice?

I have just started back on my Slimming World diet (lost 3.5 stone before - put 1 stone back on - so I’m trying to lose it again plus a bit more).
Since I started back on the diet I have not been able to go to the toilet and have ended up taking a Senokot (tablet for constipation relief) every 7 days just to clear myself out.
Surely 7 days to go without a poo is not healthy, and that doesnt even happen naturally.
I drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruit on this diet so I cannot understand it.

Any ideas?
