I’m 34 weeks pregnant,
so I’m suffering really bad from heartburn,
I only seem to get it at night times when
I’m trying to sleep or sometimes when I’m laying down relaxing,
I’ve tried gaviscon and sucking mints but no luck!
Is there anything else I can do to get rid of this heartburn?

I eat small meals, try to sit/stand straight, and sleep on propped pillows, and yet my esophagus is still burning…
I sip cold water once in a while, but it only stops the burning temporarily.
Any more ideas?
Thanks for all answers.
Ha, I hope my son has lots of hair, as the old wives say.
I did (and still do) the milk thing, because I like milk (I pick low fat one) but my doc says that milk is actualy acidic?
I have irritable bowel syndrome and am suffering with it a lot at the moment - couldn’t sleep last night due to feeling too full, sick and stomach pains - I now don’t feel like eating anything as I don’t know what will aggravate it.
Can someone recommend some foods to avoid and foods that will be easy to digest? I already drink peppermint tea after every meal which seems to help a little bit.
Many thanks in advance

Groid - LOL!!! When I sprained my ankle I had terrible bruising, my mother in law put mashed potato and onions all over in and wrapped it in a bandage, I stank but the bruising went down after two days!!! For bee stings it’s a ripe tomato and mud!!!

He is now in pain with a cramping feeling in his chest that he says feels like being on a roller coaster. He cant sleep til this pain has gone. He tried gaviscon last night and anti sickness tablets but they didnt work. What can he do to make this pain go away as everything he is eating he is bringing up again. He had a co codamol but it came up again.
this has happened several times a year for the past 4-5 years.
If a child has quite bad diarrhea it is fine to have them sit on or near the toilet all day but at night this is inpractical.
If the child wears a nappy to bed then it saves the parents the hassle of cleaning messy sheets and allows the child some sleep (needed if your immune system is to recover.)
I know of lots of parents who do this with younger children (5 and below.)
But at what age does it become unacceptable to put a child in a nappy for this reason?
6, 8, or mabye older?
What do you think?
